| | | Care of an injured pigeon Hi all, I hope someone can help me.
I have just brought home from the town centre of Andover, a injured pigeon, he/she was sat forlornly by the side of a quiet road, some kids were trying to make it fly by screaming and running at it and it looked petrified.
I always carry a secure box in the car, hence its now at home with me! I have put it in a secure mesh basket, given it water, but it looks as though it has a injured wing.
Any suggestions on what else I can do to keep it alive?
Many thanks and what a great website, just found it by typing in "injured pigeon" this is the type of site I have been looking for for years!

Your best bet is to just keep on providing food and water and keep it well away from anything that could cause it to feel stressed. It sounds like you've already done a great job of taking it out of harms way, so it'll no-doubt be very grateful for your help.
Other than that, just contact your local rescue centre - have a look in the directory for your nearest one - to see if they can assess it's health and give you tips on the next course of action.
I hope everything goes OK
Good luck
