| | | Re: Hobbys? I think they start arriving from late April and continue into May. You're really lucky to have them over you house, I've never seen one but I'm going to try this year because I know they live near me!

This will vary depending on where you are in the UK though, further South may be earlier and North possibly later. |

this early or they won't find any food  | They are aerial birds + there may not be many large insects for them, but other birds form a considerable part of the diet, so finding food shouldn't be too much of a problem. Where I live they are regularly chasing Starlings amongst other birds over the roof tops.
There was a record of a bird around in Norfolk last December, which was very unseasonal, when it should have been in Africa. |
