| | | birdsong Hi,
Every morning I hear a bird that sounds like a squeaky see saw. I cannot see anything and I have listened through the birdsong on the RSPB sound but can't identify it.
Anyone any ideas? It's difficult describing a sound...sorry!

| | | Re: birdsong Another thought, might be a chiffchaff song. Lucky and quite early if so. You can hear that on the same website. |

The RSPB website sounds are not all that great for some birds as they have a variety of sounds. Have a look at this site: British Garden Birds - Great Tit

| | | Re: birdsong Its a great tit, I kept hearing this see saw but could not see the bird. Then one day I saw it and it was a great tit. Chaffinches are quite different one sits on the tallest tree near my garden and the male sings all day. I think he is free and single and is advertising the fact. |

Usually these out of season"Cuckoo"turn out to be Collared Doves, which at times can sound similar! |
