My only Birdie while golfing

Went to Celtic Manor to play golf, and saw this sitting in a tree just off the first green, i have had to crop this so not very good quality, i did get into trouble though as the group behind caught us up but i couldn't just walk past, when you see such a wonderful thing anywhere you just have to watch it till it decides to leave.

There are usually - and have been for years - at least a couple of pairs around at the Tredegar (J26) Park junction of the motorway - and all along that stretch.
Several years ago, I disturbed a pair sitting on a fallen trunk on the top of Penylan hill (overlooks that area) - and I don't know which of us was more surprised. I was almost on top of them before they took off - I must have been about 30' from them and I jumped out of my skin.

I wish I'd had a camera with me on that day - weren't you lucky to get that shot.

Thats the good thing , i play and seem to bird watch more than the game , but cause i dont concentrate on the golf i play better strange aint it...
