| | | Re: Tiny little Bird? Someone was saying on another thread recently that they had wrens roosting in their shed, they also like to nest in places like that so if you do have a shed, could be a good idea to leave a window open, you might get lucky!.

| | | Re: Tiny little Bird? I've been lucky enough to have a pair nesting in ivy in my garden for the past 2 years and they did allow me to get quite close. They are wonderful little birds and really do behave like mice! Enjoy them |

| | | Re: Tiny little Bird? Hi Sweedie, it is me who has the wrens nesting (or at least roosting) in my garage. I had no idea they were in there until I closed the window during the cold spell! They were not happy... The window is now permanently left open, and I am hoping that they will decide the garage is a wonderful place to raise a family. I have had robins nest in there before - I reckon it is a very safe place for them to be as no cats or other predators can get to them, and during the very cold weather it kept them out of the frost too. You just have to remember to keep the window open...
I even put water and food on a table in the garage, but they didnt seem to touch that.
They are super little birds, and I hope they take a liking to your shed! |

| | | Re: Tiny little Bird? Hi Karen, thank you for your comments, sounds like they had a luxury hotel all of their own lol you will have them queueing for a room soon
I have just discovered that my shed has better windows than my house lol in that i can adjust and lock them to the required opening so no fear of them getting accidentally pushed shut!
unfortunately i havn't seen or heard anymore of my little Wren will keep on the lookout though and keep you posted! thanks again for the advice! | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
