| | | Re: Boring Boring Seagulls. I have to say, gulls don't really do much for me, unless they are kittiwakes, sabs, little, ross's and ivory. However, I did see my first ring-billed last Saturday and enjoyed separating it from the commons.

| | | Re: Boring Boring Seagulls. We watched many thousands of gulls at the water outfall point from the de-commissioned Dungeness Nuclear power station yesterday. They've learnt that there's easy picking food in the swirl of water that's warmer in temperature there. We saw at least 5 different species interacting together. It was quite fun sorting them into species from the beach.

It was quite fun sorting them into species from the beach. | One of the wardens at Heysham Obs. in Lancashire had nine species of gull in his scope at once in December last year - that takes some doing! Those gulls were also feeding around the outfalls of a power station. Heysham Bird Observatory: 12/22/11
