Good places to see birds near Aberdeen

I might be going to Westhill near Aberdeen for work.
Where is a good birding place there, ideally that you can reach by public transport?

Try Duthie Park on the Dee estuary at the south of the town,walk along the river on the north bank. Also the Don estuary in the north of the town by the Bridge of Balgownie, good for seals as well as birds. You can also get a bus to the Bullers of Buchan at Cruden bay though this is best in June when the sea birds are breeding. Ythan Estuary and Forvie sands are also brilliant for birds at Newburgh and Colliston.
