| | | Dartford Warbler ID please Spotted on the gorse at the overcliff, Boscombe this afternoon. Having never spotted one before, let alone get a picture, I am pretty sure its a dartford warbler (female ?) but could someone confirm as i dont want to make a fool of myself

Yes. I'm wondering if it is a female, main reason for my thinking was that all the picures of a male i have seen have a squarer shaped head
So any further thoughts would be appreciated

| | | Re: Dartford Warbler ID please Hmmm could still be a male, not a bird I'm familiar with and was going by a bird guide - the chest looks quite deep wine red so actually still could be a male... someone more knowledgeable will soon be along
