| | | Bird for ID please Bit of a discussion between myself and AN Other about this bird at Lee Valley but I would like any one to say what it is. Although I have an idea I am certainly not sure. Doesnt really look like anything I have in my books. You can see from the title what I think it is but far from certain. Thanks in advance

No idea if you casn see on here but my picture is titles Female Reed Bunting? That was my feeling but I couldnt prove it in a book. The other opinion and only 2 of us there was a Hedge Sparrow but I didnt like that at all.
Thanks for both confirmations, much appreciated and thanks for the compliments on the picture

| | | Re: Bird for ID please I feel a bit out of place here as my name isn't Mike
Hedge Sparrow over here is called a Dunnock, which looks nothing like that pic. Did you mean House Sparrow? These are more similar, but still has noticably different head patterns.

| | | Re: Bird for ID please Sorry Nige, I didnt want it to start with but now I can see that unless you are called Mike then you have to be excluded so I wont bother to apologise profusely to you then but all Mikes can see I did mean House Sparrow as there were a lot of Dunnocks on under and around the feeder by the hide. My apologies all round to The Mikes of this world, we need to stick together
