WWT - Llanelli

I recently paid a visit to WWT Centre in Llanelli, my first in many years hoping to get some decent shots of some of the residents. This is my first real attempt to photograph birds and thankfully, I managed to get some reasonable images. All the images were taken with the Sony a700 coupled with the Sigma 70-200 2.8/ex APO. I would appreciate any feedback. Regards, Martin

Lovely images Martin. I'm not a serious photographer so will let others make a technical critique.

For anyone not recognising some of the birds- especially the more exotic species I'll name them:

1 female Eider
2 female Mallard
3 Philippine Duck
4 Moorhen
5 female Shelduck
6 Bar-headed Goose
7 Swan Goose

Also noticed a male Red-crested Pochard at some point.

Well Martin, not a lot to say but all look great to my eyes, love the composition and lighting especially on the Philippine Duck.

Welcome to WAB Martin. They all look great to me, with the shelduck and moorhen my favourites.

We have a number of members who practically live at the Llanelli Wetland Centre. If you're a regular there you're bound to run in to them if you haven't already.
