Two nuthatches
We regularly see a nuthatch in the garden, but this was a special day - there were two nuthatches enjoying my home cooking.



Another unusual sighting this day was two redpolls on the niger feeder!

I so enjoy when i see the nuthatch arrive in my garden... and also like u i can get 2 in at the same time,

Wonderful birds and I never tire of their calls and song. Where I walk they are quite common, but at "the patch" they are never, ever seen, even though there is a lot of what I think is the right type of woodland. So I assume they have a very local distribution.
