Try a site called Xeno-canto Europe or the RSPB website, a listen to some common birds (I presume garden bird) may yield an answer or something vaguely similar.
Great tit has a large repertoire, worth checking.

| | | Re: bird song I too think Song Thrush is the most likely candidate. The song is usually 3,4 or 5 syllables and repeated 2 or 3 times before there is a slight change, and could well be interpreted as "can you hear me".
