| | | windermere geese to be culled Just seen report on BBC north west that 200 Canada geese are to be culled culled on windermere as they are blamed for damaging the reed beds (always thought that was down to the boats) wonder how long it will be befor those that are culled are replaced by others. | | | Re: windermere geese to be culled Geese, specifically Canada Geese, are a well-known problem when trying to establish new reed-beds. This is why so many in nature reserves have unsightly surrounds of chicken wire or similar.
