Do you have a balcony with your flat?
Could you hang some feeders out there?
You can get ones that suction cup to windows.
Happy days. | We do have a balcony, so maybe I should try some feeders and see if anything turns up. The thing is, there's not really any trees around so I never see the common garden birds at all. We do overlook a river, so see some interesting waterbirds instead, which is some compensation. Maybe I could hang out some fish for the cormorants!! |

4x 6-packs of fat balls
2 stuffed coconut halves
Total spend: less than £10
The mealworms were 99p a bag - compare with £3.25 for the same size bags in Tesco!
Last week they had bags of suet + mealworm pellets for 99p too but unfortunately they'd sold out. | Bargain!
Well done you!

No chance of course but one can live in hope!
This beautiful bird still eludes me!
Seriously contemplating doing a Bill oddie!

Seriously contemplating doing a Bill oddie! | You'll get one on your feeders soon, by the look of your latest report Coraldine!
Oare Marshes is quite reliable for Kingfishers. There's a pair that regularly hunt over the sluice gates on the East Flood. They get reported most days. Last time I was there one flashed past the East Hide when I was in there.
I'm down there today. So having just posted that, you know which bird I won't see! LOL!
Cheers,
Bryan
PS. My feeders are quiet at present. My birding neghbour saw a Sparrowhawk fly into my garden yeserday so I think that might have been eating my bird stock!

| | | Re: I've gone feeder mad! House Sparrows & Starlings both in large numbers, are the main occupant of my garden.
Everyday though, I'm smiling more & more at what else I'm getting come & visit.
On the feeders this afternoon I've had Carrion Crows & a Jackdaw!
A Grey Heron has been on the same Conifer, earlier this week & today. Getting lower each time.
It wouldn't surprise me to look out & see it actually on the ground or perched on the feeders soon!
I love the GS Woodpecker visiting 2/3 times a day, everyday!
So far as the feeders go, I'm having to refill the sunflower hearts & replace the fat feeders every other day! Greedy blighters!
I love this garden!
