Question Sparrow looking a bit shabby!
Found this photo today that i had taken during the summer, I think this is a House Sparrow? he is a bit disheveled looking,it made me wonder if he is just an old bird? is there any way of telling how old a bird is once they are fully mature and what is the usual life expectancy in the wild? Or is this a Tree Sparrow?

It's an adult male House Sparrow. Looks like he is in the process of moult.

They look a bit done in after a busy breeding season so his feathers need to moult.
