| | | Why dont Bullfinches come to my feeders? From what I see Bullfinches are regularly going to peoples garden feeders now. Have they always came to them so readily or is this a kind of recent thing? Any way my question is why do you think they never have visited mine? There are plenty of them around and I regularly see and hear them in the tree tops at my hide, but for some reason Ive never seen one down despite me spending a lot of time there. Im pretty baffled by this and would appreciate it if any body could shed some light on it. I have various food out including sunflower hearts that i usually see them on at other peoples stations. Thanks

| | | Re: Why dont Bullfinches come to my feeders? intresting question fudgey, bullfinches are very timid birds, and after seeing your feeders, its possible they prefer a little more cover, if you know what i mean, try to place a feeder or two in between a few bushes, if there are any nearby. rossy. |

| | | Re: Why dont Bullfinches come to my feeders? I've hoped for them on my feeders too as we have one regular male. He was seen having a bath in our frozen pond(i poked holes in it) though.
Which to be honest was better than seeing it at a feeder as it was a lot closer. |

| | | Re: Why dont Bullfinches come to my feeders? As has been said, they are very shy; but if you put your feeder next to a large shrub/bush, they will come, along with other shy species.

| | | Re: Why dont Bullfinches come to my feeders? I get them coming into my garden now and then when they do come (most often when weather is cold and icey) they tend to go to feeders nearest cover or my fence mounted bird table also very close to cover they are shy birds MIKE |
