the only one I have ever seen up close was a rescued bird that I had at my home for a few weeks whilst it was waiting on a new home.
Do remember how much noise it could make though and the fact it hated men(it had been badly mistreated by a male owner) having one clamp its beak down on one of your fingers not nice at all It was great with women though very friendly to wards them.
I found her a very nice new home with nice lady in a huge Avery up in Lancashire MIKE |

| | | Re: Ring-necked Parakeets - are they like Marmite? Very common in South East corner, trend suggest they are spreading in both directions further along the coast

| | | Re: Ring-necked Parakeets - are they like Marmite? I'm not keen, though each year I pop into Lytham Cemetary to see them, as they are pretty unusual in Lancs. They always surprise me how difficult they can be to find sometimes (we missed them on New Year's Day for instance), but they seem to like the trees adjacent to Les Dawson's grave.
