Thanks Deb, I agree totally, the pic is a dead ringer for mine.
Hi Rog, the link dosent work for me either, I know Derek often sees the pipit down there, but in this case a blackbird looks more likely.
I didnt get my macro lens, as we have had a lot of jobs done around the house recently, but its still on my wish list, maybe later in the year. After seeing yours I would get a 90 or 100mm one. Hope you are well.

yes you have hit the nail on the head, with the photo being taken through the scope, its very deceptive, and as roys posted female blackbird, pity you didnt see it fly off, as you would most certainly have identified it. rossy.

Clearly a female blackbird, can't see anything which suggests its a rock pipit or any other pipit species.
