| | | Re: The mild Winter Thanks Dogg, a really good note.
I would not worry about the weather in February. Even the 1st is nearly two weeks away which I think is too distant to forecast accurately.
Although I think the Met Office use different tools for longer term forecasting, but was it last spring where they predicted a hot summer that never arrived?

So far the winter hasn't been anywhere near as bad as the last couple, which is good...so far.
However I wonder if it stays like this much longer things like ladybirds and early spring risers will appear too early and get hit by a cold snap towards the end of the month/February.
Nige | Lol really? Why do i feel like its spring then over here? The weather is so weird at the moment isnt it, one day frosty next mild |

| | | Re: The mild Winter We've not completed January yet!!
The warm temperatures so far, could lead to deadly ones over the rest of the Winter, (especially for the creatures fooled into thinking Spring has sprung). There's still a long way to go before Spring is here!
One good thing, our log-pile is still good for a few more weeks. |

So, it will probably just be mild and soggy then.... yuk.
My worries would be that things brought forward by the mild spell may be hit if we have a big cold spell, with knock-on effects along the food chains. |
