First kingfisher for a few years
Had a great view of one yesterday flying like a blue flash along a beck near Wetherby. I thought they had disappeared lately from the area.

The population in Yorkshire has struggled with the past couple of cold winters. They had a good breeding season (here) this year so coupled with the mild winter there should be a bit of a recovery.
