Hello..
I think I know what this duck is, and if I am correct it is a life tick. Taken at Attenborough NR on 2.1.12.
Would like to what anyone else thinks first, though. Cheers!

Yes, yes it is a female pochard isn't it, I can see now. Definitely not a lifer then.

The female Scaup at Attenborough has a good prominent white blaze on the front of the head. There are a few photos on Flickr, such as this one. |

Yes, thanks for that. It was indeed the scaup that I thought I had found at last.
Onwards and upwards though. Have you seen the Attenborough bird yourself, Poschiavanus?
