| | | Could this be Mr T Hi guys joy and sadness hit me today when i looked out to the feeders and found a rather puffed up greenfinch.. yipee a 1st i thought..
Closer inspection saw that it wasnt well
Any ideas and could this be the big T ?
The sunflower seed feeders it wasa on have been taken down and are soaking in hot water .It didnt fly off when the dog went running down the garden only until i got within 5ft of it . It flew into a neighbours tree and i have not seen it since.
sorry for poor pic quality taken through my scope with mobile phone..cool eh
cheers guys/gals....

| | | Re: Could this be Mr T It looks like it, either that or one of the similar diseases like salmonellosis, either way you do right to take the precation which is similar for these kinds of diseases. This bird (1st winter Female) is clearly unwell, I assume it was trying to feed but not being able to do so? Trichomoniasis is often quite distinctive in that birds dribble, vomit and wheeze. It tends to be more drawn out than some of the similar infections too.
P.S Clean any bird baths you may have as well. |
