| | | Parakeets investigating nest sites Saw (and heard) 6 parakeets squabbling around and flying up to the entrance to an old woodpecker hole today, they did appear to be paired, though none claimed the hole before they all flew, thought it seemed a little early to be choosing a nest site yet |

To date I am only aware of a single study where any negative effects were found - a study in Belgium that found Nuthatches were adversely affected. It is possible that as parakeet numbers increase they will have more effect though.
