I can find Papercourt Meadows? Apparently good numbers of Short-eared Owl there still
Thanks,

| | | Re: Papercourt Meadows location The Papercourt area is in Send (or strictly Send Marsh). Papercourt Lane runs from the Seven Stars pub towards Send Marsh Green on the Ripley-Pyrford road.
The local sailing pit is now an LNR and always had a decent array of birds as does Ripley Common & the Wey Navigation.
The site you are probably looking for is the Surrey WT trust site here (note permit required) |

| | | Re: Papercourt Meadows location Park in Tannery Lane car park by the long grey industrial building on the map. Walk down the unobvious path on the right hand side of the building to the Wey Navigation and cross over. The meadow, which is Send Marsh is where they will be hanging out. Excellent owl habitat. There is usually the odd Barn Owl here too.
You could also park in the small car park near Newark Priory in Newark Lane B367 and walk west out on to the marsh that way.
Cheers,

| | | Re: Papercourt Meadows location Owls are anywhere on Papercourt Meadows, a large area only part of which is managed by SWT. No permit required.
Tannery Lane the best access point.
Papercourt Meadows is a different, smaller reserve nearby which does require a permit, about £10 pa, but that is not the place you want for Owls. |

I meant Papercourt MARSH is a different site that needs a permit. |
