Unhealthy Carrion Crows?

Definitely carrion crows in my local Sainsbury's car park. Somebody does dump bread there regularly but they also spend a lot of time on a bit of waste ground next door. They also walk round the bus stops looking for dropped food.

The same car park also attracts a lot of starlings, particularly young ones. They like to sit on the trolleys parked next to the shop, right under the loudspeaker playing bird "alarm" calls. They probably think it's mum. I have also seen a bunch of these youngsters go inside the front grille of a parked car.

Re the Macdonald's boxes - I've seen a crow very patiently pecking one open in the middle of the pavement. It hopped back a few inches to let me pass....

Hear in Runcorn at the local shopping center theres an over head bus stop and always about 20 black-headed gulls sat on a roof opposite on look out for scraps interesting to watch them as soon as they see some one with food (esp parents with kids in tow) they all try and move to be closest ready to swoop down on any discarded food. over the river in Widnes theres another shopping center big car park and must be few thousand starlings at that one feeding on scraps plenty of crows about but they don't seem interested in this food source
Dont think this type of food dos these birds much harm as aready stated they are very active and will so think we have worry to much about that.
