Hi Folks, just thought I`d share with you all a terrible photo of a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker. This is the first time that I`ve knowingly seen one & was chuffed to bits  Hoping for a better photo soon

I know there are some a few miles from here in Ruislip, but have just never got them, this year will be different though

Well done Pam I've not seen one of these for 30 years - Ian has never seen one and its not like we don;t go out! They are scarce up our way tho I know of a couple of spots if I went in search where they are supposed to be - perhaps its time I had a look while its Jan/Feb ........
