Domestic Mallards vary in size from Call Ducks (1-1.5 lbs in weight) to Aylesbury or Rouen (c10-12 lbs) , with the heavier breeds obviously correspondingly larger.
An irridescent green colour over the whole plumage is a feature shared by the Cayuga (7-8 lbs) and Black East Indian breeds (1.5-2 lbs), and these have some of the genetics associated with one or other of these.
