| | | Re: Approachable Heron St James' Park, London too. I remember walking through the park when the tube was down one morning, passing grey-faced commuters and then spotting that the guy next to me was beakier than most.

| | | Re: Approachable Heron I got video of a heron in Battersea Park taking bread meant for the ducks. I had a walk in there yesterday as I'd heard that the lake was frozen over and thought that might make for some good photos, and as I got to the side of the lake three herons flew down and landed alongside me. They stared at me and as I had nothing to give them, flew off again. Someone had posted some photos taken a few days ago showing a group of herons being fed fish by a couple of chaps early in the morning. I wondered if the herons now thought all humans came with fish - and what would be acceptable?
