happy new year all.
whilst out today i was taking a picture of a distant raptor that i thought probably a marsh harrier. However when i got home and looked at the picture on my pc i noticed this bird in the top left of the picture. l have had to heavily crop and its still not very good but can anyone offer an id suggestion 
i am thinking buzzard but not convinced.

Ermmmmmm my first thought was a pigeon looking at this picture im still going with pigeon. i can see where you think Buzzard though

Hadn't bothered to look at the image, but as there's been a difference of opinion, have looked at it under high res + agree looks like a Feral Pigeon. |

Yes in retrospect looking back at the photo its clearly not a stock dove, thats what happens when you ID things from an iphone whilst watching TV and drinking beer  |

Photo misidentification is a growing problem as screens get smaller and we grow older.
It looks like pigeon to me too but it the poster is convinced that it is a raptor it will be a Buzzard.
