39. Water Pipit (life tick) | Four lifers on your first proper trip out of the year!
I had to change my plans to get out because of an appointment for travel jabs that I almost forgot. I turned a 10 minute walk to the shops into a 1 1/2 hour wander through the River Lee Country Park late this afternoon though, which brings me up to 51 species seen (+3 additionals heard ).
Highlights were Bullfinch, Lesser Redpoll, Sparrowhawk, and Goldeneye, + good numbers of Fieldfare and Goldcrest. I still haven't seen (or heard) House Sparrow or any Woodpeckers.
I'll have to get out on Saturday and try and find the second half of the century!
