| | | Whooper Swans on Pentland Firth Not really a bird person but I saw half a dozen whooper swans on the North coast of Scotland today between Thurso and Wick. Going by the RSPB distribution this is well outside of their range. Is this something worth notifiying the RSPB/SWT of? |

| | | Re: Whooper Swans on Pentland Firth It is not at all unusual to see wintering Whoopers in Caithness -which is where you are/were- . Still a nice sighting though. Record them with RSPB if you want. They may not have been picked out yet.
