| | | What to feed a Parakeet? Just had a parakeet inspecting my garden, it didn't land but flew in and out twice, each time landing on trees either side of the garden.
At the moment I have 3 fatballs in a feeder, a nyjer seed feeder and a mixed seed feeder.
Am I right in thinking the parakeets like things like apples/pears? What else would they eat, and how can I put it out? (in feeders/on the ground? etc)
Thanks,
Nige |

| | | Re: What to feed a Parakeet? The mixed seed will be fine, especially if it contains such things as sunflower seeds and sweetcorn.
They also go loopy about peanuts.
And yes.... apples, pears etc will also be enjoyed.

Very noisy so they sometimes attract unwanted attention from the feline community! |
