My little book does not have this duck in it, any ideas?

So its not known for being in the UK?

| They do turn up in the UK but are quite rare birds. They live up in Iceland, Greenland, Canada etc. |

| | | Re: Bird ID - or should be Duck ID It's a very rare visitor to the UK - more commonly seen further north - e.g. Iceland, Alaska, Canada - most places within the arctic circle. The UK is too far south for their range, even in winter. |

| | | Re: Bird ID - or should be Duck ID The duck was named after Sir John Barrow, a local man from near Ulverston, Cumbria (formerly Lancashire) where an impressive monument in the form of a replica of the Eddystone lighthouse stands to his memory.
A country boy made good with an interesting story and many Arctic geographical features are named after him.
