I went to slimbridge today and saw and photographed a bittern very close to the zeiss hide. The kingfishers were hit very hard last winter everywhere,and very few were seen this year at slimbridge ,although there has been accasional sightings from the kingfisher hide.Its got plenty to keep the kids occupied though.Highly reccommend a day out there.Also the canal you cross to get to slimbridge has plenty to see.ive seen plenty of wildlife from the canal towpaths. (Gloucester canal). |

Wonderful place and if you're there for the feeds, a true spectacle. Big shop, nice restaurant and the tower is worth going up just for the views.

We (WAB members had a meet there one year) Wrap up warm sensible footware and you will love it, we had to net some of the kids to get them out!
