The CVLBirding website mentions the October 1988 bird as the latest previously recorded there - it stayed into November ("The previous latest was a bird which remained from October 19th to November 6th 1988."). There have been other records in the years in between, including two reported on Birdguides earlier this autumn (August and September).

Not the only late Osprey about it seems one reported today in cumbria

There was a (post Birds Of Hampshire) late Osprey in the Sowley Pond / Needs Ore area on 4th-11th Dec 1999 although normally any November sighting would be exceptional in Hampshire.

Of course, it is possible that one at Chew Valley Lake, and then one in Cumbria 3 days later could involve the same bird moving north (a strange movement at this time of year perhaps, but since they shouldn't really be in the UK in December any that are seen are ou of place - and perhaps lost!).
