firstly thanks for responses, but it poses another question
I always considered GCB as a freshwater bird and have only ever seen one on a lake!
Is it normal behaviour for them to fish in the sea, is that what they feed on?

| | | Re: ID please They only breed on reeded fresh water or at least nearby reeds.They winter on lakes and offshore.Other more detailed answers on diet etc i'm sure will get answers but alas my( expertise   )doesn't stretch that far. |
