From the first reply and other comments here earlier on WAB I think we have the potential for a very good SOE Autumn/Winter.
Fingers crossed.
And, being greedy now, I wonder if even more have come in on the very recent East winds.
Cheers,
Bryan

As I recently said on Dogghound's Long-eared Owl thread - "...Of course we have no breeding S-eOs ( ie. here in Cambs), but we do get good numbers of winter visitors with no less than 13+ currently being seen around Burwell Fen (part of Wicken Fen), up to 6 on the Nene Washes and numerous reports from other sites"
And a few weeks ago no less than 50 S-eOs were counted coming in over the Norfolk coast at Titchwell on a single day!

| | | Re: Short Eared Owls It's been a very good Autumn so far for SEOs, and also quite a few LEOs coming too. Certainly the east coast has had most from Kent up to Lincolnshire, and I would expect Yorkshire too.
Cheers,
