I haven't seen a Blackbird for months!!!

Has anyone else noticed the complete absence of blackbirds?

My Rowan tree's berries have all fallen off uneaten.

It's a bit too early for Blackbirds to start eating the crab apples and pyracantha berries from previous years experience.

I will just have to hope things have been so warm and food is so plentiful out in the woods that Blackbirds have temporarily abandoned my garden, down here in West Sussex.

I love blackbirds (and Swifts/Swallows).

I hadn't seen any blackbirds in our garden since early summer, and then yesterday there were two- flying back and forth, and in and around the hedge. Hopefully yours will come back, too... they do seem to disappear at times.
