Sawbill + pipit ID

A couple of birds for ID.

First up this pipit


And a sawbill


ANy ideas?

I'll go with meadow pipit(though i'm notoriously bad on pipits),and red-breasted merganser because i think thats a stripe on the white patch on the secondaries.and possibly a slightly upturned and longer bill than Goosander

Meddow pipit and red brested merganser I think it a female

Agree, female RBM, due to bill shape and inner wing patch has black dividing line.

I did look at rock pipit for the pipit but leg and to some extent bill color did not look right for rock pipit how variable can these be in rock pipit I do find pipits difficult to id from pics

Water Pipit - though I do agree with R-b Merganser.

Did not even look at water pipit but now looking would yes i agree water pipit , think will leave pipit ID's from pics alone from now on

Yes, that'll teach me not to rush - I didnt even look at or think about the pipit, just the sawbill....................
