Highlights today 3 brent geese at the end of the sand road at high tide, also 50+ twite and one bar tailed godwit.

Plenty of twite down from weld rd on south shore as well today and plenty of waders to be seen at high tide down that way as well bartail godwits blacktail godwits dunlin knot grey plover sandlings turnstone's and one woodcock low over royal birkdale havein been flushed from thick scrub at edge of dunes and was one goosander female on southport mariner
lot to see round southport right now

I've just heard from a good source that a few lapland buntings and a great white egret have been spotted
I'll be back up tomorrow making the most of my day off

Last week Great white was on small pool on shore side about 1/2 mile up from main hide last one to north dont not what its called, with good views from road with scope. also if was 50 or so twites up that way round high tide today must be about 100 or so about as was about that many to south in small flocks dotted about was told lapland bunting had been seen with twites we did not see them but worth checking out twite flocks be a few weeks befor we get back there takes us about hour and half by train but will be back soon
