| | | Less birds on my patch Is it just me? or have I got a point?
Several years ago a series of events seemed to precipitate a sea change in the local bird population. A flood (2007) and 2 harsh winters (2009/10, 2010/11), seem to have decimated numbers. Certain species I don`t see anymore. I know individual cases are well documented but it seems more general to me. I think wildlife was hanging on by a thread and recent events have cut it. Their habitat was shrinking year on year and I worry that if they try to make a comeback there will be nothing for them to come back to. This is my opinion based on my local experience.
