Maybe making ambelopoulia legal once more would curtail this horror then it goes back to being 'peasant' winter food and loses any glamour. Supply and demand. Anyway that was my first thought. So I looked on a Cyprus based forum to see how Greek Cypriots thought about this problem What I discovered to my disgust was worldwide comments of how great this 'dish' tasted. Instructions for catching them, preparing and cooking or preserving. Not just on Cyprus, in the UK, Australia, USA, Asia etc. All over the world Greek Cypriots with absolutely no concern for 'Blackcaps or Robins'("...but it doesn't matter if you catch any other songbird, they taste just as good but you should throw any Wrens to the dog as they are bitter...")

The Cypriots are supposedly the most educated people in the EU!

That's a good video to be going round the web, hopefully it'll make people realise how bad the situation is and something will get done.

Question. I take it there is no 'international' bird organisation that could pressurise such issues? If not there should be.
