Lots of Swallows this morning.

Opened the curtains this morning to see lots of Swallows flying around. Isn't it quite late? Perhaps summer is still here.

I think that you'd be hard pressed to convince anyone that summer is still here at the end of October!
Considering your location, I'm not at all surprised that you are seeing Swallows this late in the year, even if quite a few are present. These will most likely be a late migrating flock that is making the most of a good feeding opportunity. The last Swallows tend to linger until the end of October, and frequently well into November in the south, particularly in the south-west (although most will have left the country and probably be well south of the Sahara by now).
