| | | RSPB Feed The Birds Day Tomorrow the 29th October is the RSPB Feed The Birds Day
I doubt many here on WAB need a day like that to remind them to feed the birds, but the day still seems like a good idea to me.
My own birds at home have been working hard this week to make sure the day is a great success: all have been practising non stop to make sure tomorrow's "pig out" goes without a hitch.
None more so than one of my Magpies:-
Cheers,
Bryan Do you think there will also be a "Feed The Yetis" day before long?

| | | Re: RSPB Feed The Birds Day Why the 29th of October? Surely the middle of winter, when food sources are more scarce, would have been a more suitable date? |

Yes of course, I feed the birds, and clean up after them. Chief cook and bottle washer me.

| We do it this time of year to let people know what to do over the winter. I will be running the event in Inverness if anybody would like to come along. |

| My starlings have been upping their training as well- their practice session this morning had true Olympic potential. |

Good luck with tomorrow.
Cheers,
Bryan

Camo face mask, camo gloves, lying most uncomfortably on my side behind an upturned wooden garden chair for half an hour. Nothing!
Got up. Took off all camo. Sat on chair in clear view of everything and of course the magpies started to come down and feed straight away:..... "We thought it might be you on the ground behind the chair, but weren't sure. So we stayed up in the tree just to be safe until you were sitting in the chair without wearing all that rubbish that stopped us recognising you."
Cheers,
Bryan

I've a feeling that a lot of people will forget or lose interest come new year, but you never know |
