Right I've listen to both and it could have been a Little owl it certainly was a very clear loud cry, it also fits one of the Tawny sounds, but there was no twittering or wooings. You never know I might hear it again soon.

The Little Owl has at least 8 recognised calls - have a listen to the 'Disturbed' and 'Contact' Little Owl calls on this site -
Information on Little Owls - it might help.

I have a wooden Little Owl caller which I've used with some success (outside the breeding season of course). Unfortunately I don't have a recording of it

The Little owl, Contact call was very close, it is very exciting if we have got three types of owl in the locality.
