questar birder spotting scope

Has anyone used one and if so would you concider upgrading from a swarovski ats 80 hd
given the high price of the questar how much better is it?

, but many years ago I got to look through a top birder's Questar on Scilly. The really confusing bit was the reversed image; that branch on the right was on the left in the Questar! Personally I would never have coped with that - it's hard enough following "directions" anyway - " see the tree, well, go three fenceposts to the right and ..."

Me, I'd be more than happy with a Swarowski, if I could afford one!

The only real benefit is if you are planning on doing a lot of birding of really distant birds.

Thats an interesting article, i had read it before but as solus has said the image is reversed, something i didn't pick up on when i first read it. I dont think i could get used to that, it would be like driving in reverse all the time.
I cant see it being that much better than the swaro, maybe it would come into its own sea watching.
