| | | very good day Was out early today for a days birding on Dee estuary and great day was had
started of at burton wetlands visitor center high lights there good No's black tail godwits and teal along with loads of shoveler plus wigeon 1st for year 6 whooper swans 1st of year and best one stock dove life tick at last spotted when I had a sweep of lines of fence post with scope looking for BOP one thing I do a lot and often paying off, next hike up round road to inner marsh farm hide again lots of ducks along with lapwings and golden plovers high light white fronted goose in with small flock of gray lags life tick I owe this one and pintail a 1st for year in with other ducks, to another birder for pointing them out to me, and self found snipe another 1st for year.
then long hike down marsh path to parkgate were we found great white egret after good bit of searching on marsh down bottom end of prom had a bit of a run round with in order to get positive ID another life tick  did some miles walking but well worth it.  MIKE |
