Friday October 7th - Last seen at Morecambe, North Lancashire.

I went on a walk through a nearby reserve the Sunday before last and they'd all gone. Such a difference from a few weeks prior.

No Swallows, but a lone House Martin today.

2 Housemartin, East Yorkshire on Sat 8th Oct, which is consistently my latest date for any hirundine.

I had three Swallows over Risley Moss NR in North Cheshire yesterday.

Incidentally, my last House Martin was last Sunday (9th October) at Burton Marsh on The Wirrel, and my last Swift was 28th September over Holme in Norfolk. I'd have to check my records for the last Sand Martin. Still a little time for more Swallows and House Martins.

Had about ten passing over head at frodsham marsh cheshire today was bit surprised to see them

So the last Day of Sightings for U.K. Swallows would be Oct. 15th then......

........Cheshire.

I wonder after they leave Cheshire, if they Cross the Channel by the next day ? More than likely,I'd have thought.
