had a nice afternoon birdwatch with my son.. had some really amazing views of a buzzard.. then saw a kestrel hovering and a merlin was mobbing it.. was a female.. last one i saw was in devon years ago.. so well happy.. oh and saw a hornet too... |

well done, there is a piece in the birdwatching magazine this month , and it has the most gorgeous picture of any bird i have ever seen, and thats of a merlin...

Nice one! I've only seen 2 Merlin both a very very long way away through a windy scope
