| | | Blackbirds- Numbers in your area. I realise that many birds appear to be around in less numbers, mainly because of the moult in summer but I have noticed a significant drop in Blackbird numbers visiting the garden and in my area in general.
How are they doing where you are?
Even my Mum is missing her blackbirds.

| | | Re: Blackbirds- Numbers in your area. Largely still moulting, or just finishing here, numbers are about right. Due to weather/wind conditions migrants are down on last year, although there has been a couple of small falls along the coast. |

| | | Re: Blackbirds- Numbers in your area. Numbers were low, but we've had an influx in the last week or two, most likely from Europe, which is normal for this time of year.

| | | Re: Blackbirds- Numbers in your area. I had one in the garden a couple of weeks ago pecking about under a tree. She mustn't have found much to eat as I haven't seen her return
I have heard a few hidden in bushes and undergrowth, but I suspect they'll only start to show themselves when the cold weather really kicks in. |

| | | Re: Blackbirds- Numbers in your area. Keep the counts coming folk. Hopefully as the weeks go by we might see an improvement in numbers and signs of an inbound migration. It would be interesting to plot it on a map.

| | | Re: Blackbirds- Numbers in your area. I did notice a small influx of Song Thrushes on one part of my local patch. Also my first Redwing of the autumn, though these were moving through in small flocks- c75 in total. |
